Hi, I'm Saylor! I'm the potter behind Saylor Lost at C. I started with clay in a high school ceramics class and could never really stop.
I throw and trim every piece myself, and you'll feel it through a thumbprint, an uneven rim, or maybe a foot I just couldn't leave alone.
All work is stoneware, wheel-thrown and hand-glazed. Available pieces will be at Carbondale Clay Center over Labor Day weekend. Click a piece for a closer look, or reach out to ask about anything you see.
Because every piece is made and glazed by hand, no two are exactly alike. Glaze pooling, texture, and size vary slightly from piece to piece, and colors may look a little different in person than on screen.

My work isn't just something to admire from across the room. It's something to touch, to use, to spark a conversation. Hope it can make you smile!
